Preface

Why Save Analog?

I love digital things, but sometimes the analog way is ...better? ...just as good? ...still worthwhile. I am not pitting one against the other. I believe there are some things that have largely been cast aside that are worth saving, worth appreciating.

Technology has made many things easier and faster. It also makes us take a lot of things for granted. We can lose sight of the process, the meaning in things, the inspiration, the soul.

Digital can be fleeting, intangible. It can be amazing. And frustrating.
Analog is tangible, grounded. It can be amazing. And frustrating.

This site is my take on those analog pursuits that I still find worthwhile, and that you might, also. It is a documentation of things sometimes forgotten.

Posts will initially be divided among two main themes: audio and visual. This is fairly self-explanatory, but click on the theme links in the header for a general briefing on each. The topics covered on this site may not remain strictly analog in nature, but that sentiment should remain the essence of this site. I'm also not giving up on new technologies, by any means. This is the Internet, after all.
